I am so happy that it is finally warm, I can't wait to go for a walk and not get soggy and wet!

Well the last few months I have been feeling pretty crappy every now and then I get this horrible stomach pain (always in the middle of the night!) So I finally made a doctor appt. to try to figure what in the heck is going on, at first they said nothing was wrong but then they did some other tests and decided that I wasn't crazy or making it up and I needed my gallbladder removed.

So that is what I did last week! I feel so much better now, I can't even tell you! Now I just need to get my muscles and all that back up to par and I will feel like a new person. I had no idea how much you use your stomach muscles till this experience! I was never happier when I could sit up without Dallas' help! So a few more days of being lazy then its back to work. I actually miss being productive!

But that is all and I am so excited to feel the warm sunshine as well...

Well not much has been going on, we are starting to begin the large and overwhelming project that is our back yard! I am way excited but it is also way over my head. So if anybody has any great tips to transform the field that is my backyard I would love to hear them , also if anyone knows anyone who does stuff with landscaping or sprinklers or that stuff I would love references. I really don't want to do it myself!

Also we are coming up on our anniversary!!! I can't believe it has been 8 yrs since we got married. It seams like time has flown! But I am continually reminded that forever is a lot longer! SO that is all for now, I will try to post better in the future! Wish me luck on that one!!!

So I finally got around to putting some pictures on... This is my living room from the entry and then my kitchen. The dining area is right next to the kitchen but at this time I still did not have my table! After 9 weeks I now do have a table and we are in the process of finding bar stools. I can't wait to add more decorations now I have plenty of wall space to put them up!

There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an unfinished basement! And more yard than I know what to do with... the back yard still needs to be finished (but that will come next spring). I will post more pictures as we make more changes (paint, flooring all the little stuff I can get away with before Dallas notices that I am doing it!)

We got all moved in but I am still waiting for a kitchen table (a month and a half after I ordered it)... and I have not got everything unboxed... Not enough hours in a day! I have a new purse I am making... (Priorities, a new purse or unpack boxes???) and I am also making some new drapes for Grandma Randall's kitchen, (also I will post pictures when they are done!) So besides work and everything else, that is what I have been up to! I promise pictures are coming!

Since monday Dallas has been in Memphis for work. This is his first work trip and he usually doesn't leave for more than a weekend when he goes somewhere. But this last week made me appreciate how much he does for me. The garbage, the dishes, dinner, taking care of our kitty... and that is just a few... I can't wait for him to get home!!! On a side note... while I have had a little bit of time on my hands I have started a quilt. I am hoping it will be easy enough that I will actually finish it! Pictures to come when I get it done!!! I also have been working on a new purse, (that is my new hobby) instead of buying them I have been making them. Also pictures to come when I get the chance! Leather working is my next adventure, as soon as the how to book gets here!

OK so I am way bad at this... But really not much has happened! Just a little trip to Las Vegas...(Lots of walking)...Thanksgiving... (Lots of great food)... Christmas...(Lots of great gifts)... Dallas Birthday...(the BIG 30!)... New Years Eve... (Food, Friends, and a really late night!)... Starting 2010 off right with my Birthday Week... (lots of shoes! Thanks Dallas!) and that really sums up our adventures for the end of the year. I will work harder this year to keep my blog updated with all of our boring current events... Whatever they may be! Dallas & I got to go to the 2009 World Cup Qualifier. It was so much fun!!! We had incredible seats right behind the US goal for the first half, which also was when they scored both goals! We were totally outnumbered by El Salvadorians... I could not believe it... But no matter what it was a ton of fun, I love Rio Tinto's stadium and I can't wait to go again in 4 years!

The Green River fly fishing experiment... I call it an experiment because I was not positive that I would completely enjoy fly fishing. I knew I would love the Green River because it is water, until Dallas informed me that I would have to wear waders (that would clash with my swim suit) even better there was no swim suit for me!!! Then I get to take it one step further... Picture this ME... in my dad's waders ( I didn't have any so I borrowed his can we say a little large) In size nine boots ( I wear a 7 1/2 in women's shoes) walking first down a very steep incline ( the side of a mountain) to get to the river... walking through the river for like 4 or 5 hours (not exaggerating) then walking (water dredged) in my size 9 boots back up the dumb hill to get to the FJ. That was exciting, I only almost fell like twice down the side of a mountain. Other than that it was a way fun trip that I wish we could have stayed like three more days! I now love fly fishing and I love watching Dallas fly fish ( he actually catches fish) But maybe next time I will get one!

Well I don't really have much of anything new going on lately! But I always like to see new things on all your blogs so I must follow suit! All we have been doing lately is working, and that is about it... I am still learning how to golf that has been an interesting project for Dallas to try to teach me, I either do really good or I get really mad when I do really bad... I am still working on the in between, but on the upside there are more times that are good now and less bad! I have also started making a quilt... I never realized how much time it takes to just cut out all the pieces but it is still a huge work in progress. Other than that not much else is going on in our lives. Dallas will be skipping softball season this spring...(until his knee is a bit stronger) But he is working really hard to be ready for the fall season... I will miss watching him play this spring, I always enjoy it! But that's it! Oh ya hope everyone is as ready as I am for 80 degree weather next week! I CAN'T WAIT!

Time To Stop & Breath...

Well the last little bit has been kinda crazy... From New Beginning's... Baby Shower... a planned trip... to an unexpected trip... I now have taken a moment to stop and breath! To start at the first... all of my invitations turned out great! Everyone loved them... I then began planing a trip to Alabama with my family to go visit my Grandpa... whose health was not so great... we got the trip all planed my work time was covered and I was gearing up for the baby shower and New Beginning's when I got a phone call from my mom saying that my papa had passed away Thursday night. Suddenly all my plans and everything now changed! So I did the baby shower Saturday morning... went to a birthday party for Dallas' cousin Jackson... began packing for our 12:30ish flight to Birmingham! My dad, mom, sister (Jayme) & her little boy Ryker began our trek! I was way impressed with how good Ryker did on the flight and the whole time. So we got in to Atlanta to discover our 9:00ish flight was canceled! LUCKY US... we ended up on a flight leaving at 10:00ish not to bad... so we found our gate and took a nap! We ended up in Birmingham got to our hotel at around 12:00 on Sunday! I requested a shower... my mom and Jayme headed to Walmart to get Ryker supplies... and my dad got Ryker to take a nap... we then headed to Papa's house to visit all of our family...almost everyone was there! I saw cousins I don't even remember the last time I saw them...(Just from pictures) and we sat around a talked all afternoon and got to spend a lot of good time with my family. Monday was the viewing and funeral... It was such a nice day...On Tuesday we spent a little more time at Papa's helping my Uncle Terry package up Papa's fish for the long ride to Florida. We got to spend some time with our grandma Mary and had a nice peaceful time at the cemetery before we headed back to the airport... It was a rushed trip... but so wonderful because of the time we spent with family and the joy in celebrating Papa. Pictures will soon follow!

Well as of right now not much is going on like in almost every other post i write... But I need help with ideas!!! I am planning a baby shower for my friend (any good invitation ideas, food anything) Last shower I helped with my mom did, so my mom had all the good ideas!

Next I am helping to get ready for New Beginnings... (we are doing a thing with feet and shoes(Soul... Sole)) get the idea. again any great ideas for invitations, they think i am creative and can come up with anything... Right now I am... I won't say stumped just foggy... hence a sinus infection coupled with a head cold... Lucky me I get to go to work tomorrow... oh well!!! Enjoy the snow! Ya RIGHT!

I do like that, being another year older... I might not like it for too much longer... I will just post about both mine and dallas birthdays at the same time since I think I neglected his... We will start with his Dec. 26 (I didn't forget this year!) Well Dallas got what ever he wanted for dinner, he wanted my homemade Schnitzel with garlic red potatoes. Lucky Him... He had his knee surgery two days before Christmas so other than dinner he laid on the couch. Yay Him! As for the present he wanted a new fly fishing rod, instead he has now decided to get a new stereo system for the fj. Happy Birthday Dallas!
As for me my birthday week started on Sunday Jan 18, with dinner at the Roberts, we had great food and my parents gave a Wii Fit (which I love). On to my Holiday Birthday (thank you Martin Luther King Jr.) Dallas surprised me with my little zune (in red). And a great dinner at Corbins (the best molten lava cake ever!) My birthday week will end with dinner at the Penrod's on Sunday. Lucky Me! I do love my birthday week!

Well I am not one for resolutions... I just end up disappointed when I end up not following through! So I have decided that I am just going to try my hardest... to go to the gym as much as possible and try harder in my church calling, and last but not least try to be nicer to other people that bug me. Not a tough task but something I really struggle with! Wish me good luck! OH ya the other thing... try to take more pictures to post, I always enjoy pictures the most so I will also work on that!

I think that mother nature thinks she is funny... 4-12 inches of snow one day... 45+ degree temp. the next, I guess that is not that warm but the sun is taunting me if nothing else! It screams at me "look at me, look at me, but if you try to come out to bask in my warmth you WILL get frostbite!" I enjoy weather change but how can i appreciate it if I don't complain about it.
Not much new going on the Holiday's were the Holiday's, too much food, lots of family and this year alot of time at home with Dallas! It has been nice but I did enjoy going back to work, I also enjoyed Dallas going back to work too! But that is about it not much else so I hope everyone else will enjoy the sun and frostbite with me! Bring on Spring...

Well Dallas had his knee surgery today! It was a long day for both of us... We were at the surgical center at 11:00 (a half hour early... the weather was horrible) they took him back and I waited and waited... made a beanie (new project, Scott Linsley from my work taught me how to crochet them) then they came and got me and took me to recovery... He did way good and it went super well... they fixed the meniscus, cleaned up a bunch of stuff from his first surgery (back when we were dating) and he is now home (we got home around 5:00pm) sleeping on the couch (he can't get up the stairs to the bedroom, plus he thought that it might be too dangerous... i guess i kick!) So now it is my bedtime so I can go to work tomorrow! Hope you all have a great Christmas!

Today we had a Christmas type lesson for Young Women class, what our pres. does is a little different. Every year we have a Christmas Breakfast, we go pick up the girls that don't usually come, in pj's or what ever, and this year we had an egg pizza; cinnamon rolls, and juice & fruit. Then we give them there Christmas gifts this year, a bell ornament and a yarn scarf (thanks Lacey) and share a favorite Christmas memory or our favorite Christmas story. I am so thankful for the two young women we have right now. I feel that I am so blessed to have this calling to teach me how to serve others. Our Young Womens program is few in numbers but I think that they have great faith and that helps me to appreciate the job I have to help the ones who are not quite there yet. Well that it my little spill for today! Hope you all have a great Christmas!

The first good snow storm... this starts off my Christmas season! Well we have been busy getting ready for the holidays... The first of Dec. I made table decorations for our ward Christmas party. They turned out way cute... I will post a pic once i take one of the sample. Then I had to get my Christmas presents ready for my work friends... so off to Tai Pan to get some ideas! I came up with something way cute thanks to Dallas he helped me with the idea... I found these way cute candy jars... filled them with little cranberries and provided a way good jello recipe with the jello's inside the jars. Now I am making scarfs for my young women for Sunday and making sure all of the paperwork is done for Dallas' knee surgery (that will be next tuesday!) So that is what I have been up to...not much fun but way busy... Sorry NO PICTURES! Hopefully I will have some next time! Happy Holidays!

Our Thanksgiving Breakfast! The big decision... where do we go for dinner? Well we always go to breakfast with my family and then they head up to Bear Lake... And we have dinner with Dallas family! Black Cabinets & Black Car!

Well not much has been going on! Kinda, we have been working really hard to make our townhouse more livable! So we, actually I, decided instead of getting new cabinets we would paint them! But what color, just so happens I went to school for that exact question! So with the much needed help of my dad, we painted our cabinets black! I love them we are now in the process of distressing them and glazing them with a red amber color to match my dinning room table! After that we will move on to the tile floor!
Well you are probably wondering where the black car comes in to the title! Well we got a new car!!! We are so very excited! After looking long and hard we ran across the deal of a lifetime... for our dream vehicle! Dallas found it online... we went down and test drove it at Nate Wade Subaru on Sat. Loved it but Dallas never makes a rash decision! So we came home thought about it on Sunday... went back down again on Monday... Looked at it again, still love it! Talked some numbers... still came home empty handed! Finally we went back down Tuesday night and came home with our new FJ CRUISER! Yea! It is perfect almost new, and we love it.
Now it is time to get my dependable Honda ready to try to sell... She has been a great car and I will be sad to get rid of her... But it is time to move on! So That Is the Little bit of what we have been up to!

Last night we got to go to the LaST Salt Lake Real regular season game at the new Rio TiNTo STaDium! It was SO much fun and the new stadium is way cool. minus the lack of parking! It was an iNCReDiBLe game lots of action... four or five yellow cards and two reds (both reds for FC DAllAS) We lucked out with great seats (thanks mom) Now as long as Colorado will lose on Sunday they will have a guaranteed spot for the playoffs! Super EXCiTiNG! I would much rather see sports in real life than of the TV... Hopefully we will be able to get tickets to the US Mens Rugby game in November!!!

Well... Last Saturday night we went over to our friends (Bryce and Shanny's) Had super good food (Dallas made a MaN'S PaSTa SaLaD!) chips, drinks... and some super good TuNeS!! ( Thanks Shannon!) Well... lots has been happening... The most exciting is my nephew, Ryker had his first surgery for his cleft pallet and lip! Everything went great and he is such a trooper! See Jayme's blog to see great pictures... she will have them before I will!

This is me and Dallas at ALCATRAZ! I am working on a slide show... I took way too many pictures to even tell you! But we had soooo!!! much fun in San Francisco! I can't wait to go back someday... the best purses in china town... so much shopping and way too many sites to see! I will post more later!!!

So we went to San Francisco, had a blast did everything you could possibly do in 4 days time! Got home eager to check e-mails, and our Internet crashed! Needless to say we have since gone with a different provider... Comcast sucks and there help techs are even more retarded than the company they work for... So soon we will be with another company and with an Internet that will work when you turn you computer on! So San Fran updates as soon as I get the Internet!!!

The fourth of July was way fun... we went to the North Ogden parade with Dallas' family then we all got together for dinner!!! Fireworks at Chuck and Lori's is always the best... Then on Sat we drove up to Bear Lake to spend some time with my family... I have never seen our Bear Lake beach so cram pack full of people (from now on I will stick to the less populated weekends!) But it was alot of fun we spent time with my Dad's family from Florida, we were so excited to see Terry, MJ and Dalton! (I have to steal pictures from my mom on that one) But it was also Rykers first Bear Lake trip... He had as much fun as we did I am sure... So here are a few pictures I took of Ryker before we left! He is getting so big...

Well these are the only pictures that I took of our California trip... We went down to the Ventura Harbor for lunch and to wander through the shops... It was a ton of fun and after that we went up to main street and found some great little shops!!! I love finding great deals and I do love to shop every now and then... It really made the trip fun I went shopping every day and got some cute stuff for everyone! And Dallas got to golfing pretty much the whole time! They played in a tournament and they took 1st place gross for the girl and boy teams! They also took first place in the Rock Band challenge (they had an advantage Dallas and his cousin Chad both love to play Rock Band) but still they won some fun stuff and got a trophy! Well hope everyone is having a good summer... Its almost over! Enjoy the sun while its here(I am!!!)

I am happy to announce that we made it!!! There is no take backs and according to my dad the return policy was up after the first year! May 22 was our 5 year anniversary! I can not believe that it has been that long! I can't believe that Dallas made it that long! The funny thing is I still kinda like the guy! I guess that we will just have to see if we make it the next 5 years! (Forever is too long to think about I like to take it 5 years at a time, a little more manageable!)

Well I still don't have much new to post! We are just waiting for my sister to have her baby... She is due June 2nd and is very confident that he will be a June baby... I have been getting my house ready for some new carpet and tile... So we have been doing some major cleaning... ( I work with the people that will come to measure and install and how embarrassed would I be with a dirty house!) Other than that not too much else is going on... Just preparing for CALIFORNIA!!! Oh... Who was thrilled with the 90 degree weather this weekend... I know that I was!!!

This is another I AM EXCITED POST! Just a little FYI, Dallas' Uncle and Aunt live in California... They invited us out so Dallas can do some major golfing and I can do some major shopping! Just what I need more shopping... But anyway so the days are set the plane tickets purchased and we are headed to California the first part of June! Besides the shopping I am way excited to go to the beach and get some of those great California rays...So because of the beach aspect of our trip I have decided to make every effort to get in the shape! So far I have gone to the gym everyday since I found out the trip was a go! Good for me... that is a whole four days lets see how the next month goes! Wish me luck!!!

I made this for a baby shower for Stacey, I work with her and she is soon expecting a new little girl. It is hard to post things when not much happens... I must say I am so happy the weatherman said Monday would be in the high 70's!!! That is the best news I have gotten in a few weeks! Also I have been attempting my first diaper bag... once I started I found I don't really know the basics of sewing so I bought a book and my bag has been put on hold while I make starter projects... window treatments and home decor items are the topics of the book so we will see how those turn out first. Now that spring is here I am gearing up to start fixing up my little townhouse... I just have to decide what I want first, my kitchen floor, carpet, painting etc... I have a few projects in mind I just can't decide what I want first! Well I have added some of my fav. websites please view and enjoy!

Spending all of my time with my husband... I just can never get enough time with him! I enjoy designing homes (can't wait to do mine!) and I love to sew... Right now I am working on draperies, and diaper bags!

What would I do if I were suddenly a billionaire?
Well I am sure Dallas would make me invest or save a good chunk so we would never have to work... Then we would begin doing all of the things we talk about... trips, presents, new car, I would share some of the billions with family... I hope to say I would still be the same person if I had a billion dollars!?

-I always have to put my cold feet on dallas' leg at night, just so I can fall asleep!
-I always put garabage in the sink! (It is just more convient!)

GUITAR HERO JUNKIES!!!

Ok I know how nerdy this all sounds but as a belated birthday present to myself (with the use of all of my great birthday gift cards) all I wanted was Guitar Hero III... We didn't have the xbox or anything so we finaly found all of the stuff that we needed and that is all that we have done all weekend. I now have blister on the tips of my fingers from hitting all of the dumb buttons. But I can't believe how much fun it is. We are now looking for Guitar Hero II so that we can have two controllers and a lot more songs to play. The funniest part is that Dallas enjoys it just as much if not more than me. We now have to take turns playing and right now it is his turn.

Well last Saturday was my birthday!! I am now 25... We didn't do much but Dallas took me to my fav. place for dinner (CORBIN'S) I love the steak there! I am holding out for my present... I am waiting for the big art show at the beginning of Feb. to pick out a new picture for my living room! We had a big dinner at my parents house and my mom gave me a new bracelet :) I am milking my birthday week for all it is worth!! Just a little side note... I forgot to post a blip about Dallas birthday... So I will add it now. Dallas' birthday was Dec. 26 and he turned 28 this last year... On his birthday I took him to Unita Golf and I bought him a new wedge (it was the 60 one, what ever that means!) And then I made him his fav. dinner, Spaetzle and Schnitzel, with molten lava cake for desert!! It was great and he to made good use of his birthday week!!!

These are my pictures of our BIG SNOW DAY... I just want to say I have the coolest car ever!!! My Subaru Legacy kicks butt!It drove like a champ all day no matter what the weather dished out! The best birthday present ever! Don't forget about the picture of my cute kitty waiting for the snow to attack him. He kept trying to attack the snow as it hit the window! I think the snow won out!

Hi! Sorry I have been slacking in my blog posting... It has been a crazy few months... I finally got the pics up from Dallas' cousin Chad's wedding. It was such fun to go to California and I know all the Penrod's are sad it will be the last California wedding. We will have to figure a new time to have the Penrod Family Dance Off!!! Well after California in November we went to Florida in December. I will work on getting the pics up for that... but that vacation was with my family the Roberts, it was our Christmas present. It was great fun despite the unseasonably cold weather. (I am not bitter about that!) Well I hope to get everything caught up soon, wish me luck I might need it!

Hi everybody I don't have any great Halloween pictures to post ( Dallas wouldn't let my dress up my kitty!) So I figured I would just drop a note leaving the recipe to some killer chili! This was my Halloween experiment on my family. So I hope that you all enjoy it as much as we did, I did find a few adjustments that you might want to consider the jalapenos just use the skin pull out a bunch of the seeds if you can't handle hot, and I mean super I still can't feel my mouth hot! Or just add in 1 tbsp of bittersweet bakers chocolate and let it melt into the chili, it cools down the hot! Have fun and enjoy!

EASY CHILI from Kraftfood.com

1-1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 jalapeno peppers, cut into 1/8 inch thick slices (I diced them up really small)
3 Tbsp. chili powder
1 can (14.5 oz.) fat-free reduced sodium beef broth
2 cans (15 oz. each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 can (28oz.) tomato puree
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
1 pkg shredded sharp cheddar cheese.

Brown meat in a large deep skillet on medium heat; drain, if necessary. Add onions and jalapeno peppers; cook 5 to 7 min. or until tender, stirring frequently.
Add all remaining ingredients except cilantro and cheese; stir. Reduce heat to low; cover. Simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Top individual servings evenly with cilantro and cheese.

(I also put a dollop of sour cream on top)
